www.adisciplednation.com is the latest ministry of W. James Russell, co-founder
with his wife Phyllis of the Amy Foundation
(1976), which is named after their daughter.
The Foundation is best known for sponsoring
the Amy Writing Awards for the past 17 years.
The awards annually recognize the presentation
of biblical truth reinforced with scripture
in secular, non-religious publications.
For
the past seven years the Amy Foundation
offered a self-contained brochure titled
"The United States – A Discipled
Nation in this Generation," which outlines
a biblical plan for discipling our nation
in our generation. The Foundation provides
free copies of the brochure for distribution
at scheduled events such as church services,
prayer breakfasts, seminars, workshops,
etc.
The
Amy Foundation has undertaken the work of
publishing and distributing A Discipled
Nation Plan Curriculum, a critical tool
for the discipling of our nation.

The Author |

The
Amy Foundation hired Dr. James Dyet, who
serves as Director of Product Development,
to write the material for A Discipled Nation
Plan Curriculum. Jim holds a B.A. from Houghton
College, and M.A., Th.D., and D.Lit. degrees
from Baptist Christian University. He has
authored several books, including Out of
the Rough: Meditations for Golfers"
(Thomas Nelson Publishers) and "The
No-Brainer's Guide to the Bible" (Tyndale
Publishing House).
Jim’s
30-year career included serving a minister
and also as Executive Editor and Managing
Editor for Accent Publications, Youth and
Adult Editor for Regular Baptist Press,
and Managing Editor for Scripture Press,
before retiring from Cook Communications
Ministries in June, 2000. He recently retired
as Senior Pastor at Calvary Bible Church
of Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Jim
lives with his wife, Gloria.

Statement of Faith |
|
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe all Christians are to be disciples - and a disciple is an obedient follower of Jesus Christ and actively engaged in teaching obedience of all Jesus commanded in self, family, congregation and neighborhood.
